SasoDei Date Part 3

A huge nameplate for the restaurant tacked on top of the entrance door. Deidara's mood lifted at the thought of expensive food that he never been taste. He immediately strode at the entrance door, he pushed open the large wooden with colorful glass as a decoration. He paused for a while, looking at Sasori.

"Danna? What's wrong, un?" Deidara called out.

The red head shook his head again. 'Come on, Sasori, this is only a simple dinner... Not a date... It's not a date...' He told himself repeatedly as he followed Deidara inside slowly. "I'm coming, brat."

As they entered the restaurant, their eyes squinted slightly to adjust the dim lightning inside. Soon, a pretty young hostess emerged before them, she greeted both of them while she took down their names and then, she led them to their reserved table in a bit private corner. After making sure that both Sasori and Deidara were comfortably seated, she gave them two menu books before she left. Deidara immediately scanned through the menu book while Sasori let his eyes wandered at the surrounding.

'By the judge of this well-organized place, this restaurant must be popular' Sasori thought, 'Can't believe those bastards knows how to make my wallet die from the lack of money.' He chuckled slightly (which unfortunately for Deidara, who didn't notice Sasori smiled slightly while remembering Kisame and Hidan antics).

On one side of the restaurant, a trio of musicians played their music instrument softly. The music wasn't intrusive and seemed to blend with the low murmur and occasional laughter of other diners. Back to Deidara and Sasori, the sun-kissed blond still scanning through the menu while the redhead kept staring at Deidara, impatiently waiting for him to choose any food.

"Well? What do you want to eat?" Sasori asked suddenly.

"Un? I-I still don't know what to choose, un... Besides, aren't you going to have anything, Danna?"

"I'll eat whatever you choose, brat."

"But what if I choose something not delicious or expensive, un? I don't-"

"Just choose, Deidara..." He put his hand on his forehead, massaging it while he tried to get himself calm.

"But, Danna, un!"

"Kami, Deidara! I said just choose anything! You are annoying, you know that?" Sasori snapped soon after his patience became thinner.

Deidara's eyes widen, taken aback at Sasori's words. Many pairs of eyes were watching them as they heard Sasori's voice. Deidara immediately took back the menu book and ordered random food with the least expensive price. As soon after he finished ordered their food, both of them fall in an uncomfortable silence while waiting for the food to come. Sasori continued to watch his surrounding without noticing that Deidara trembled slightly. Deidara looked down, unable to face Sasori when he tried to suppress his tears.

The food arrived soon after, both of them still refused to talk. Deidara sneaked a peek at Sasori but winced slightly as Sasori jabbed at his food rather violently than the food merited. The silence stretched between them, each lost in his thoughts. "Danna, I..." Deidara tried to start a conversation.

Sasori kept his eyes downcast, "Brat, just finish your food and let's finish this stupid game as fast as we can."

Deidara's heart sank. 'Stupid game, un? But, to me this is my only chance of being alone with you without having any mission, un!' He thought. 'Danna, un... He sounds so cold...' Of course if those cold words were from someone else he can bear with it, but Sasori... Those kind of reply made his heart broke in thousand pieces especially when Sasori didn't want to talk to the poor blond.

"Danna, I'm sorry, un. It's all my fault." Sasori raised his head, staring at the blond. "I don't mean this 'Romantic Schedule', un." he paused for a few seconds. "But, Kisame and Hidan - they did this for me, un. They found that I really wanted to spend some time with you... Un..." He couldn't meet Sasori's eyes at all. He began to trembled, hesitated before he continued, 'Come on, un. It's now or never!' He thought. "You see, Sasori-Danna, I... Um... I like you, un. I mean, I really really like you. I-I have this huge crush on you, un. I know you wouldn't accept me but at least I can spend some time with you as long as I can, un. I know you don't like me but I still don't care, I want to know more about you, I want you to at least act friendly at me but I still make you mad no matter how many time I tried to gain your attention. I'm so sorry, Danna... For all of this stupid game."

He couldn't sit there anymore. He pushed back his chair and hurriedly got up and rushed out of the restaurant. He didn't bothered to wait Sasori's reaction and cried while he went back to his house, hoping Sasori not to follow him or meet him at his home. And also hoping that Kisame, Hidan and Itachi wouldn't ask any question about their pathetic 'date'.

Which mean Sasori, was left behind in the restaurant before he could even gave Deidara his response. 'Great... I make him upset so badly.'
